There is no doubt that the upheaval caused by the closing of our tailored wear manufacturer mid year is having a dramatic and ultimately quite positive effect on our products and collection. We have moved to further specialise our Made to Measure suit programme, and we have developed a far stronger collection for smart casual / boardroom-to-bar at the right time.
(We developed stock of a couple of best shapes for this season and into next through Cambridge prior to their closing. We will be kick starting a new relationship for tailored pants production with a reputable South Island company in the New Year.)
We have met the challenge to produce more refined pieces for formal/creative, work/occasion wear through our workroom in Wellington. We are very proud of what we have achieved in the past six months since receiving the big news.
The many new fits, fabrics and garments are being very well reiceived as we meet the growing smart casual market where casual needs to be smarter, and the smart dressed industries are relaxing a bit.
Our summer ranges always contain elements of Resort Wear and this season’s “Woven Water” collection is no exception. As Wellingtonians we are hankering for the social months and can’t resist buying up dishy fabrics that have colour and work in a relaxed fit whilst looking stylish. This aspirational fabric purchasing is done in the depths of winter. Here we are; it’s spring and we are all ready for a good time!
Shirts are easing up and becoming less fitted. Tailored smart short sleeves are our classic form this season and these can be teamed with tidy- cool cotton and stretch linen pants (posh with a great bum) and “Statement Shorts”. Call in, we’ve got options!
